Volunteer Bio – Linda Dennis

I was born in Winkler, MB and was raised on a farm 3 miles north of Manitou, MB. I was part of a blended family of five half-brothers and sisters, and four full siblings.

After high school I was accepted into the X-Ray Technician training program at Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg, during which time I met my future husband Jim.

He moved back to BC and I followed shortly after. We were married in Manitoba in 1966, and have two sons who have produced five wonderful grandchildren.

I worked in customer service for over 18 years for a lumber wrapping firm here in Mission, and when I retired I started volunteering for the Auxiliary in 2005.

I find it so rewarding to give back to our community.
